Membership

  • If you are new to rowing, please contact us and you will be contacted to arrange an introductory session.  You will receive a few introductory lessons in a *stable* boat, after which you can decide whether you want to continue.  After a couple of weeks, you will start to get the hang of rowing and will be able to go out on your own or with groups of other members.

  • If you are an experienced rower, you will need to meet with a club member for a check-out row and sign the standard waiver.

  • If you are a guest from out of town and would like to row with us while you are here, we extend courtesy guest privileges to members of other rowing clubs with a waiver signature.

  • Full club members have access to all equipment at any time.

  • Full membership dues:

    • $350 per year individual

    • $450 per year family

    • We also offer a $100 summer membership (payable in cash or labor @ $10/hr) for non-resident college students or juniors home for the summer.

  • Fees for Juniors vary, and Junior members are only entitled to use club facilities and equipment during their scheduled program sessions.

  • Boat storage:  $150 per year, subject to availability.

  • All NBRC members are required to contribute 12 hours per year by providing help on periodic maintenance days and by assisting with the annual regatta.
