Heidi discovered rowing through her daughter, Amelia, who spent six years as a junior coxswain before becoming an assistant coach for the juniors. During the pandemic, Heidi began exercising on the erg she had originally bought for Amelia. In the spring of 2021, encouraged by her daughter, she decided to experience rowing on the water for the first time—and she’s been hooked ever since. Heidi enjoys both sculling and sweep rowing and currently serves on the NBRC board as the Vice President and before that as member at large. Her happy place is either out on the water in a boat, hiking with family and friends, or curled up on the couch with a good book and her cat.
