Adult Learn-to-Row Information
SWEEP Adult Learn-to-Row:
Take advantage of the perfect time of year to Learn-to-Row! This two-day Sweep class (Sat & Sun, April 25-26, 2026, 10:00 am - 1:30 pm) is open to athletes new to the sport of rowing and those who have had a long break from rowing and are looking to re-learn. Coaching will be conducted in groups of rowers of similar levels. Participants will learn in larger, more stable boats with each athlete controlling one oar, focusing on basic techniques and how to row with other athletes. This class is intended to introduce the athlete to rowing in sweep boats and guide the athlete toward the option of joining a team or further refining their individual skills. The class wrap-up will include how to join the NBRC Novice Team on a recreational or competitive level. Must be 18 and over to participate; no experience needed.
