Pam Hughes


Pam combines her sports, scientific and aquatic skills for optimal mindset towards rowing and coaching. Coach Pam graduated scholar/athlete under Rutgers University while competing D-1 Varsity 8+. She is a USRowing Level II coach, holds a California Boater Card, Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certified with additionally completing Exploring Sport Coaching and Psychology. She has competed in several regattas as a sculler, including the Head of the Charles and Head of the Schuylkill.  Her professional career focused in Biology with attention to education, animal husbandry and publishing. She dedicated 11 years as a Senior Aquatic Biologist to California Academy of Sciences.
As an avid water sport participant, she sailed from Oahu to California and attained a Stress and Rescue SCUBA certification.
Since 2013, Pam has been a sculling coach with attention from Novice to Masters class and Novice Sweep Coach.
