Petaluma River Marathon and Half Marathon is Back!
After a COVID-induced break, the Petaluma River Marathon and Half Marathon, founded in 2004, returns. Held on the Sunday before Labor Day, the Marathon invites competitors in self-propelled boats from rowing shells to Hawaiian outrigger canoes to experience a championship competition on the relatively calm and protected waters of the Petaluma River. The race is followed by a friendly potluck and awards ceremony. North Bay Rowing Club is happy to again be able to host this multi-hull event, an opportunity to celebrate our river (really a tidal slough), our camaraderie in boating, and good, healthy competition.
All the necessary information can be found in our information packet, here. Registration must be done here, on Regatta Central. Those who wish to borrow an NBRC boat can contact us at PetalumaRiverMarathon@gmail.com.
Appropriate COVID protocols will be followed. All competitors and regatta staff must be vaccinated.
Everyone on land–or docks–will be required to mask when closer than 6′ from others.
